WTF? JFTDC. So now it’s not such a good idea to drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. Why should we suddenly get environmental religion just because there is an environmental disaster in the Gulf? There is a gas station next door to this office that is selling gasoline for $3.29 per. We need to get the price of fuel down where it belongs. I do not like oysters anyway. We can get shrimp from Pakistan.
The Gulf is already ruined. The Mississippi Delta region will look like an asphalt parking lot in a few weeks. WTF are we so concerned about? President Obama, all of a sudden, is rethinking his support for Gulf drilling, and Governor Charlie Crust has changed his mind as well. The energy whores in the Washington Beltway do not know what to do.
Caveat Lectores knows what to do. Let’s drain the Gulf of Mexico and pump out all the oil while they are trying to figure out how to salvage an entire ecosystem. This is not rocket science. We need the oil godamitall. Drill Baby Drill!
And Oh yes, Have a nice Day?

Caveat Lectores on Sine Die and Other Idiocy
News Flash: The Florida Legislature is about to adjourn and the Lector can hardly wait for them to drop the hankie on yet another disastrous session. Governor Charlie Crust, nearly Democrap but recently resigned RePuP and now InDuPendent, has fled the Capitol in fear that he may have to actually do something since Tallahassee is so near the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
It will take a while to determine just how much damage the Florida Legislature did to the well being of its citizenry, but I am guessing they did a pretty sound job of it. An in-depth analysis will follow. It will take a few days to fully assess the damage. Public employees should be thankful things went no more badly in Tallahassee than they did. That is kinda like telling a rape victim it could have been worse.
Lectores MEPAC was not very successful in getting clients this week. I did not know it was the end of the session and most of the available PAC and lobbying money had already been squandered. We only collected enough for dinner but I promise to waste that fully.
And OH yes, have a Nice Day?

Caveat Lectores on Political Action Committees
The Lector may not be too smart but smart enough to see a good thing when it pops across the screen. I am starting a new PAC. The name will be Caveat ME PAC. The purpose will be to support things that I really support… ME.
Caveat ME PAC will appeal to anyone who wishes to influence government by sending checks to someone who claims the ability to do so. I was a lobbyist in a prior life and teach lobbying skills to others. I know how to lobby and have much experience organizing political campaigns for candidates who do not win.
Caveat ME PAC will claim to support and lobby for anything for which a donor is willing to pay. Caveat ME PAC will specialize in hopeless cases, worthless causes, trivial issues and generally anything that should never become legislation. Failure will be automatic, but it really is the effort and thought that counts. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will champion the ultra conservative right wing causes.
• Caveat ME PAC will be against government. All government is bad. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will be for business. All business is good. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will be for the right to work without the bonds of corrupt labor unions. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will be for Jesus. Conservative and Christian go together. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will be for iron barred borders that keep pesky immigrants out. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will be in favor of the good old days. Right?
• Caveat ME PAC will spend lots of money raising more money. Oh Yeah!
• Caveat ME PAC will make its donors proud by spending every cent donated without any oversight. The way it should be.
Ok, this may not be a new idea. But, if it works for Tea Baggers and RePuPs, it may finance the renovation of the Devil’s Neck Convention Center. Send checks made out to Mr. Cash.
And Oh yes, Have a Nice Day?

Caveat Lectores on Forgiving Jim Greer and the Florida RePuPs
We should leave former Florida RePuPlican Party Chairman Jim Greer and some of the other RePuPs who got caught with their hand in the cookie jar alone. They were not stealing money from their constituents. They were merely doing what is expected of the upper crust. They were living large. Give ‘em a break. OK, maybe it was tax evasion not to report personal expenses paid by the party as income, but isn’t it the American way to cheat the government out of taxes? Lighten up.
Now that the Rs can no longer deny the stupidity and greed of what was going on, they have to pillory somebody. Jim Greer and Ray Sansome are the delegated scapegoats. A few others will get the gaff as well, but they have done nothing they were not expected to do. You do not really expect the party of the wealthy to do anything different do you? Why have money if you cannot waste it? Remember, the wealthy contribute the money, but the middle class votes for the conservative, right wing, family values hypocrites hoping some of the wealth will trickle down to them. BOHICA.
Sure, what is left of the RePuPlican leadership will feign surprise and revulsion, cry crocodile tears and want to move on as if nothing happened once the credit card records reach the public domain. Did it never occur to anyone that the money being spent was from the political war chest? You did not really expect them to pay for their private jets and other basic wealthy class needs out of their own pockets.
Let’s forgive and forget. After all it was RePuPlican donor’s money, certainly not mine they were squandering. Well maybe some of the tax dollars somebody was evading were charged to you and me, but let’s just be Christian about this and forgive them their trespasses as they trespass against us and conspire to take your pensions, outsource public education to corporate industry, destroy the environment but don’t get me started.
BTW, if I find the Democraps were doing the same thing, I will shout even louder.
And Oh yes, have a nice Day?
